The story of La Fiumara

Our oil master Carmelo was born and raised under the abundant olive trees surrounding the medieval village of Naso on the island of Sicily.

After migrating to Australia in 1967, Carmelo discovered the fertile Hills of Harvey in the South of Western Australia, where he planted over four hundred Minerva olive trees. Carmelo affectionately named his farm ‘La Fiumara’ as the small brook that runs through the olive grove evoked memories of the river that runs free through the mountain ranges of his homeland.

Our olives are harvested by hand and pressed without filtration. We use traditional organic growing methods to create a balanced and harmonious oil, rich and fragrant in sensation, which captures the essence of Sicily.
